Bad Jack Placement? or…

that SUCKS in cold rainy weather. and it just sucks. and yeah — they don’t tell you that you need a special jack to elevate even a small truck, or “suv” like my lil cr-v. and the further you extend the jack, the harder it gets to turn. so when i first used mine, i turned the jack until it was all the way extended, up straight, and my tire was still not off the ground. it was just lifted enough to make it look like it wasn’t so flat. false hopes all around.

3/4 inch cutting boards layered atop one another with no-slip grip between them, duct taped all around… well, it just makes for a really good prop under the jack.

you should be very confused and not caring by the time you reach these words. if you do. i.am.sorry.

Suddenly, this situation doesn’t seem that bad. At least I didn’t need any extra equipment than what was in the truck already.

But I DID unsuccessfully attempt the jack two other places before I broke down and consulted the manual to find that spot. I can’t believe I didn’t look behind the tire initially.
