This is definitely not ok. That’s from broken steel in the sidewall of the tire. It’s probably from heavy impact on the tire. If you got the tires recently it may be a defect. Either way you should probably get that repaired before it explodes on you and you lose control of your car and kill some squirrels. and maybe yourself. Just sayin.

Squirrels you say… I’ll take this somewhere today and have them fix it then. Wouldn’t want to inadvertently reduce the squirrel population.

Thanks Ryan. I went to discount tire, and my tires are under warranty, I got a brand new tire for free! I payed $15.50 to extend the warranty onto the new tire. Wohoo!
